Our Story

Originally from Indiana, Brian and I (Beth) were high school sweethearts. Along with our kids, Brooke and Blake, we have lived all over the United States. After we were married in August 1991, our journey took us across the US to Ohio, Virginia, Connecticut, Kentucky, Utah, Minnesota, Utah, and for now back to Hartford, Connecticut.

Buying a house in the Caribbean has been a 25+ year adventure for us. Our search actually started on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. It was beautiful … quaint … quiet and we thought it was perfect. Brian and I visited St. John often, researching the island and real estate. On one visit, we brought Brooke and Blake and quickly realized that even with all the things we loved about St. John, it wasn’t quite the right fit for our family.

We were ultimately drawn to St. Croix for many reasons:

• The beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea and the tropical landscape
• We were looking for a U.S. Property (U.S. Taxes, U.S. Contract Law, and U.S. Healthcare)
• Ease of access … getting from the mainland to the island
• Laid-back atmosphere
• Friendly people and a welcoming community
• Lots of activities … for all ages

After switching gears and islands, and a 3+ year search on St. Croix, we finally found our dream home on La Grande Princesse Hill. From the moment we walked in, we knew that we had found the one. We walked straight across the house from the front door to the slider doors … and there it was … THE VIEW!!

That incredible view drew us in!! The house is up on the hill and overlooks Christiansted Harbor and the Caribbean Sea. Beautiful views during the day and the twinkling of Christiansted’s lights at night!!

We have been working on our place since 2017 to give the house and its surrounding our own personal touch. We have incorporated furniture that came with the house and have added new pieces along the way. It has been given a good scrub down and we added paint both inside and out. It’s definitely “a work in progress” that Brian and I intend to update and add to for years to come. It is our/your island home and we take pride in it. We want it to be something special for every guest that comes through those doors.

When Brian retires, we will split our time between Park City, Utah, and St. Croix.
