Branded as Cruzan Tropical Rums, its white rum is blended with fifteen different flavorings to produce fifteen perfect rums available for purchase on the island. We give you the opportunity to sample the flavors and enjoy them during your stay with us.

Organization of Our Rum @ The Tasting Station
The piece we are currently using for the bar area (The Casa de Vista Tasting Station) was included in the house sale. The last tenants were using it as a TV stand. So, we decided to move it to its current location (it fit perfectly) and use it to hold the rum and additional liquor and drink supplies. As you can see, it’s the perfect piece for The Casa de Vista Tasting Station.
During your stay, you can sample all the flavors and decide which ones (yes, plural) are your favorite. You can purchase your Cruzan almost anywhere on the island. Then, pick up a cardboard carrier to take your favorites home to the mainland. (Remember, you can’t take any opened bottles with you—only unopened with the seal not broken.)
And did anyone notice that, of course, we have them in alphabetical order?
OK, Beth has them in alphabetical order with a matching checklist in her Casa de Vista Notebook! It’s easy to check the shopping list during inventory and get those replacements back to The Casa de Vista Tasting Station. Making that list could help in your decision-making process, too!!
Cruzan Rum Distillery
After several years of being closed for renovations, Casa de Vista is excited to let our guests know that Cruzan Rum Distillery is open! You can book online (limited space & availability) for a 30-minute walking tour to see firsthand the rum-making process and hear about the history & culture of St Croix and how it played a part in rum-making. You will visit the Sampling Bar and Gift Shop at the end of the tour. 18 and above will be offered 2 mixed drinks and 4 samples, while 17 and under are offered 2 soft drinks or a choice of juices. On a sad note … I finally understand the “limited edition” term. Watermelon has been a limited edition flavor for as long as I can remember and was always around. Well, as of publication time … I have been unable to locate it in any of the stores on the island. But I will keep the search going. Maybe I should start a petition/campaign to bring this flavor back.
